Some of you are probably reading this and wondering when exactly Iâll be returning to the United States. I was supposed to have returned home a few weeks ago, and yet I am still currently in Ghana. The reason for this is that I have decided to stay in Ghana for a further six months. I did not make the decision lightly, however, I felt like there was more here I could accomplish and so I decided to stay. The work here is simply too important, and I found that my heart was not yet ready to leave.
I have been moved from the legal team to the investigations team, and the move has been a rewarding one. I am now involved with planning rescues, evaluating intelligence we receive, and professional development for our staff and department. I am sorry if this all comes as a rude surprise to you, but I love the work we do here, and I was not prepared to leave it just yet.
As many of you know, I am volunteering my services here in Ghana. Accordingly, I depend on the monetary support of my friends and family to pay for my living expenses. Because I have decided to stay for a further six months, I will need to raise approximately $10,000 to remain in Accra through December. If you feel led, there are two ways you can support me. Contributions of $250 and over may be made directly to Lasting Hope, Inc., 1194 Valley Reserve Dr. NW, Kennesaw GA 30152. These contributions are tax deductible, and you will be mailed a receipt. Â Please mention Gregg Conley in the memo section on your check. Contributions smaller than $250 may be made to my GoFundMe Campaign which can be found at 212-670-9382
Please pray and consider supporting me as I continue this amazing work!
